Frequently Asked Questions

How can I receive treatment at your facility through the VA Community Care Network?

To receive treatment at our facility through the VA Community Care Network, you must first be referred by your VA healthcare provider. After assessing your needs, your provider will submit a referral request to the VA. Once approved, the VA will coordinate with us to schedule your care.

What mental health conditions do you treat under the VA Community Care Network?

Our facility specializes in treating various mental health conditions, including Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), depression, anxiety, and substance use disorders. We provide comprehensive inpatient care tailored to meet the unique needs of Veterans.

How long does it take to enter treatment after the referral is approved?

Once your referral is approved, our team works closely with you, your loved ones, and the VA to ensure your assessment and admission are scheduled promptly, with little to no wait time. We understand the urgency of your care needs, and we strive to provide quick access to our services so you can begin getting help as soon as possible.

How do I get to your facility?

There are several ways to get to us. Veterans are always welcome to have a friend or loved one transport and drop them off at our facility. In many cases, we offer complementary ground transportation (within a 4-hour radius of our facility). When Veterans live outside of our ground transportation radius and are unable to be dropped off by friends or loved ones, we work with several non-profit organizations who assist, and support Veteran’s travel needs when getting help.

What will the treatment be like during my stay?

During your stay at our facility, you’ll undergo a personalized treatment program which integrates comprehensive health assessments to tailor your care. We address conditions such as TBI, PTSD, and depression with innovative therapies like hyperbaric oxygen chamber therapy (HBOT) and ketamine infusion therapy. Our approach also focuses on reshaping neural pathways through integrative psychotherapy, neurofeedback, and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), alongside building healthy habits through nutrition guidance, psychoeducation, and fitness. This holistic approach is designed to support your mental and physical recovery, empowering you to manage your health and lead a fulfilling life.

Can I keep my electronics (phone, laptop, etc.)?

ABSOLUTELY! Veterans are trusted to maintain the integrity of their surroundings WITHOUT us depriving you of your ability to communicate with the outside world. Our living accommodations also include computers for use by our Veterans.

What are the living accommodations like?

Our living accommodations are newly renovated to provide a peaceful and therapeutic environment that supports your recovery. Veterans staying at our facility will enjoy thoughtfully furnished rooms designed for both privacy and community interaction. The residential setting includes communal spaces for relaxation and socialization, outdoor areas for recreation, and dining facilities offering nutritious meals tailored to enhance your health. Our goal is to create a home-like atmosphere where you can focus entirely on your treatment and well-being.

Can my loved ones be involved in my treatment?

Yes! When appropriate, and with your permission, our treatment team will engage with your loved ones to provide updates on your treatment and progress. In many cases, family sessions can be arranged as well.

Who do I contact if I have questions about my referral or treatment?

If you have any questions about your referral or treatment, you can reach out to our team directly at 1-866-511-6006, or contact your VA care coordinator. Both our team and the VA are here to ensure you receive the care and support you need.

What happens after my treatment at your facility is completed?

After your treatment at our facility, we coordinate with the VA to ensure a smooth transition back to your VA healthcare provider. We also provide follow-up care recommendations and ensure all necessary records are transferred back to the VA to maintain continuity of care.
